Shout out to @peaslovencarrots for the original recipe in her cookbook! I love that there are zero dishes to wash when you make this. And shout out to @chusmeatmarket for gifting me the ground meat that went into this recipe. I know that’s some boujee meat in there and it’s gonna taste amazing!

A few notes:
Don’t pre-bake the puff pastry and don’t pre-cook the meat. Trust the process.
You can add whatever apices and sauces you want! And seriously, it I didn’t keep kosher, there would totally be cheese in there too.

Also, you don’t have to do all your Shabbos cook

Also, you don’t have to do all your Shabbos cooking on Friday. You can start cooking Thursday night. Personally, I find that it goes faster for me when I just cook it all at once and I take breaks during the day for lunch, to check emails for work, to watch videos.

I know sometimes you just don’t want to cook, I feel that sometimes too. But I’ve learned to love Shabbos so much for the break we get from work, social media, technology, etc., so I try to find ways to make the cooking less stressful for me. That way I’m excited about Shabbos instead of feeling like it’s a burden.

We each face different struggles when it comes to Shabbos and at different points in our lives, Shabbos could be the best or it can be exhausting. What’s so amazing is even when it’s hard, you still make it a priority and that is something to celebrate!

You don’t need a fancy microwave like this in a kosher kitchen, we just love it and made it one of our goals when we got the chance to redo our kitchen. Some kosher kitchens have one microwave, some even have two (one for meat and one for dairy).
