Visiting Poland for the first time was life alteri

Visiting Poland for the first time was life altering for me! I saw life before, during, and after the Holocaust in every town I visited. 1/5 of the Poland population, over 3 million Jews, systematically mrdered because of hate.

My family (the Fenigstein’s) moved from Poland to Israel (then it was Ottoman Palestine) in the early 1900s and I know that decision to leave their thriving home in Warsaw and travel with 12 children was not easy, but they built a community in Jaffa called Batei Varsha to help Jewish refugees 🙏🏻
